Morning session:

Children can be dropped off at WASP anytime from 7am. Children will be supervised and walked to Woodend School gate between WASP & School at 8.30am. Breakfast is available until 7.45am.
Afternoon session:
3pm – 5.30pm (2.5hrs)
$20 per day – Full Time Booking $20.40 per day - Part Time Booking
$21.40per day – Casual Booking
WASP staff will meet the children at WASP (School Release children directly to WASP building. Roll Call will take place at 3.15pm. Any unexpected child unaccounted for will be managed as per the un-notified absence process. Charges are based on Bookings and not Attendance.
If your child is enrolled on a casual basis, please contact W.A.S.P prior to 2:30pm to ensure a space and resources is available for the day that they will be attending.
If your child will be attending a morning session, please book online and contact the Supervisor the day before.
These measures are to ensure there will be an appropriate number of staff on site.
Each day your child attends the programme, it is important that they are signed in and signed out on the daily roll call pad. The Supervisor will show you where the roll pad is situated.
It is important for us to know that your child has arrived and/or departed safely.
If a person arrives to collect your child whose:
then we are obliged (for your child’s safety) to refuse release of the child and keep them in our care until the parent/guardian has been located for consent.
The programme does not start until 7:00am and closes at 5:30pm. Our license does not allow us to care for children outside of these hours.
A late charge of $20.00 per 15 minutes ( or part of )will apply for pick-ups later than 5:30pm.
Minor health & safety accidents/incidents will be treated by appropriately First Aid trained and certified staff members. Serious health & safety accidents/incidents will be dealt with according to WASP Policies & Procedures.
Minor health & safety accidents/incidents may include but are not limited to; minor cuts, abrasions, soft tissue bumps and bruises.
WASP Staff may:
All children must wear helmets any time a child uses a scooter, roller blades, bike, skateboard or similar apparatus.
All children must have a hat to wear during Term 1 and Term 4. If no hat is available, then children must play indoor or stay under shaded areas outside.
In situations in which your child fails to arrive at WASP by the prescribed time or arrives at WASP without a booking, the standard procedure will apply.
It is your responsibility as parent/caregiver to sign your child in and/or out at the appropriate times. Failure to do so will result in the Programme coordinator doing so on the parent’s behalf. Fees will be charged according to sign in/out times.
WASP programme will at times have special trips and activities that occur away from the main site. The trips are undertaken in accordance with the ‘Excursions/Experience Outside the Venue and Transport’ Policy. You hereby give WASP permission to transport your child/ren from a designated WASP site of operation if and when required i.e. evacuation, group trip, etc.
You understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that the contact information kept on file by WASP is always current. You can request changes to your child/ren’s information by emailing the Programme Coordinator.
You acknowledge that photographs of your child or items of your child’s work completed at WASP may be used at a later date for training, marketing and/or promotional purposes. You hereby give consent for this unless, during the enrolment process, you have indicated otherwise.

WASP has a duty of care to ensure the environment is healthy and safe for all staff and children at all times.
Please do not bring your child to the programme if they are sick, as we do not have adequate facilities to care for them and to prevent the risk of spreading the infection.
If a child becomes ill during programme hours, the child will be put in a quiet space where the child can rest. The first and/or secondary contacts will be called and asked to collect them.
We use behavior management techniques that encourage self-esteem development.
It is our goal to ensure that children and families experience an environment where they are safe, secure, respected and their dignity is protected.
This is done through the use of positive reinforcement and a stimulating and varied programme to ensure against boredom.
Every effort will be made to help your child settle into the programme. In conjunction with the parents/caregivers, a behavior management plan may be put into place.
If a child’s behavior is harmful to the other children, parents will be notified.
If the child’s behavior is consistently harmful to the other children, parents will be asked to remove the child from the programme.
If a child causes damage to WASP resources and/or property or to any venue that WASP operates from or that venues resources and/or property, all costs of repair or replacement will be met by the parent/caregiver and will be added to the parent/caregiver’s account.
Where you are an individual the authorities under this clause are authorities or consents for the purposes of the Privacy Act 2020.
You shall have the right to request from WASP a copy of the information about you retained by WASP and the right to request WASP to correct any incorrect information about you held by WASP.
You acknowledge that the information contained herein is confidential, and pursuant to the Privacy Act, will only be used by WASP to effectively care for your child/ren and not used or distributed for any other purposes. Representatives from the Ministry of Social Development OSCAR Approvals team may view this information as part of the auditing process.
Ministry of Social Development may require and be provided with access to information relating to a child when required under Children's Act . .
You agree to adhere to the policies and procedures that are set out, a copy of which can be viewed at WASP or by requesting from the WASP Committee Secretary.
WASP will give as much notice as practically possible for any changes to the above Terms and Conditions. All changes will be communicated via email, website and/or electronic newsletter.
If you are unsatisfied by any aspect of the WASP programme, in the first instance, please discuss with the Programme Supervisor.
